A&A Aluminium Windows and Doors Project at King’s Drive
A&A Aluminium Windows Doors Project at King’s Drive
This A&A aluminium windows doors project at King’s Drive involved upgrading both window and door systems as part of approved addition and alteration works. The scope focused on durability, visual consistency, and safety compliance.
The owner chose a 1.4mm aluminium profile with Euro grey glass to achieve a clean and restrained façade. The glass selection manages daylight and glare while maintaining a modern residential appearance. The team specified all hardwares and accessories in black to provide subtle contrast and a cohesive finish.
The design coordinated windows and doors carefully to align sightlines, profiles, and finishes. This approach ensured visual continuity across the elevations. The installation team also paid close attention to junctions, fixings, and interfaces with existing structures during the A&A works.
For glazing openings below 1 metre, the design incorporated tempered laminated glass fixed panels. These panels function as safety barriers and address applicable BCA safety requirements. The solution integrates safety directly into the glazing system. It avoids the need for additional railings or visually intrusive elements.
This project demonstrates a practical approach to A&A works. It balances regulatory requirements with material selection and construction detailing. The completed installation meets safety expectations while preserving openness, daylight, and the overall character of the property.
